A paradise that combines mountain and sea for excursions all year round, but also a favorite destination of even the most "difficult" travelers. One of the most beautiful walks in Pelion is the old path that descends from Tsagarada to Damouchari. Visitors to Damouchari can reach on foot by tapping on the stones carved from the years. The sea was still as soon as it touched the thick shells of the south coast. Stone scaly roofs sprang up through the quiet olive grove.
At this time in the port of Damouchari there will be two or three boats, the seabed almost always shines like crystal with velvety still algae. Damouchari is the only natural and safe port on the east coast of Pelion. And the smallest as well. From here the trade of the surrounding villages Tsagarada and Mouresi took place for many years.
In the cape there is the ruined castle that was built by the Venetians to protect from the pirates a traveler's station and warehouses that they had built in Damouchari. Later - long after the Venetians - these places were used by the locals to store the products that were transported from the port. From the ‘70s onwards, tourism began to develop with the arrival of the Germans, but it never became massive. Damouchari remains a picturesque fishing village of Pelion. Which is especially enjoyed by boat owners.
The northern cove is still a small port, home to colorful fishing boats and yachts. In the settlement there are old and new picturesque houses, hostels and rooms, but also a few taverns for food.
